We have created a pathway to parenting, housing, health, healing and independence.
Our maternity community, along with our community partners, are dedicated to each family we serve to end homelessness and break the cycle of generational poverty.
Position
Summary:
Supervises and engages with Vita Nova residents.
Participates in field trips, church transportation, grocery shopping, NA, AA and other programs on weekends.
24/7 position Friday evening through Monday Morning.
Job Description Roles and Responsibilities Supervise resident chores and campus responsibilities provide opportunities to socialize with residents Complete documentation and reporting of daily activities of residents Ensure that program families adhere to all facility program rules and daily scheduling requirements Qualifications and Education requirements Minimum of 2 years' experience in a social service position or environment, drug and alcohol counseling, family ministry, healthcare, nursing, or related fields Associate degree in above service areas or in school to achieve degree Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Ability to manage crisis situations.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing Ability to work with minimal direct supervision.
Current Driver's License Preferred Skills Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to interact with clients with sensitivity to diverse cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
Additional Notes Work Environment:
May experience high stress, emotional situations with residents in crisis.
Requires ability to manage situations calmly and effectively.
While performing the duties of this job, will be required to stand, walk, sit.
Must be able to lift or move on occasion, 25 pounds.
Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
Background checks and Drug screening required.
